Past Work

Into the Woods

The children in Year One looked at the story of "The Gruffalo" as part of their theme. They found that a Gruffalo had been visiting their outdoor classroom during the evening as he had left footprints and other clues to his presence. The children wrote letters to him and helped him find what he was looking for. (They were relived to find out he was a friendly Gruffalo!) They made story maps as part of their geography learning and explored leaf printing in art.

The Nutcracker

The children have been re-telling the story of "The Nutcracker" using shadow puppets.

Trailer for Year 1 and Year 2 Nativity

We hope you enjoy this trailer for the Year 1 and Year 2 Christmas nativity.
Parents will receive a link so they can watch the final video next week.

Up Up and Away

The Year One children worked together to create a live history timeline where they looked at the history of flight in their topic "Up, Up and Away!"

The Snail and the Whale

Year 1 has been using Chatter Pix on their class iPads to demonstrate what they have been learning about the different continents around the world.
Click on the video to learn all about Asia.

Click on the video to watch the process of making clay sea tiles. The Year 1 children had great fun!
