At George Grenville Academy, we work hard to develop the wider opportunities we can offer our pupils. You can find below some of the many extra-curricular activities we have on offer for the pupils to explore.
Poetry Competitions
To celebrate National Poetry Day, the whole school was set a challenge to learn a poem OFF BY HEART. The children developed memory skills and performance skills during their drama lessons and all children were set a target to learn one poem as part of their homework.

Christmas at Grenville
Christmas at Grenville is an exciting time where pupils get involved in concerts, book weeks, fairs and performances. We even managed to continue these enrichment opportunities during the restrictions.

Bikeability
Children in Years 5 and 6 have the opportunity each year to work on their level 2 and level 3 bikeability award. They spend the week learning about road safety and practise these skills on the local roads in Buckingham.
Performing Arts
We value the performing arts at Grenville and children have the opportunity to take part in a school performance. Staff have been trained by the Royal Shakespeare Company to become a MATILDA CHAMPION SCHOOL which has transformed the way we approach our shows. We also run drama lessons throughout the year with Little Voices. Our drama teacher is LAMDA qualified and key skills are built in to the curriculum. Pupils can also attend the Little Voices performing arts club on Monday after school.
