Inclusion
At George Grenville we promote inclusion through provision that enables all children to reach their potential. We work hard to ensure that all children access a rich and varied curriculum which supports their individual needs. What should I do if I think my child needs further support?
At Grenville, we operate an 'open-door' policy. If you have any concerns regarding the support your child needs, then please speak to your child's class teacher. We hold parent/teacher meetings that last 15-20 minutes at the start of each term but if you cannot wait for that, then please make an appointment by emailing either the school office or your child's teacher. Click on the button below to take you to our contacts page where you can find the appropriate email address or telephone number. Where else can I go for additional support? Elle Brown (school SENDCo) is always available to meet and discuss the support that is needed. She works closely with the teaching staff and outside agencies such as the specialist teacher service, school nursing, education psychology team and county SEND advisors. If your child has an education support plan, this will be reviewed by the teacher and the parents each term and targets reviewed and set. If, for any reason you are not happy with the SEND service from the school, then please come and speak to the Headteacher, Emma Killick. There is also a school complaints policy on the policy webpage that will detail each stage of the complaints process. |
