Off-by-Heart October 2024

The class competition will take place between Monday 21st and Thursday 24th October and the winners will perform in the poetry assembly on Friday 25th October at 2.30pm. We would love to see as many parents join us as possible. Nursery and Reception will be performing class poems.

To celebrate National Poetry Day, the whole school was set a challenge to learn a poem OFF BY HEART. The children developed memory skills and performance skills during their drama lessons and all children were set a target to learn one poem as part of their homework. 
Each class held a class recital on Thursday 7th October and winners were voted for. We then held a whole school poetry celebration assembly and listened to a variety of poems across the school.
