Christmas time at George Grenville Academy is always very exciting and this year has been no exception. We have enjoyed Christmas Book Week where the whole school, including nursery based their learning on "Last Stop on the Reindeer Express."

During Christmas Book Week, all the children from nursery to Year 6 made Christmas tree decorations which we hung during an assembly.

The Nativity

Christmas would not be Christmas without a nativity and this year is no exception. The Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children have been working hard this term on their performance of Gabriel's Big Break. A link to watch this remotely with the children at home has been sent directly to parents.

Carol Concert

The children and parents of George Grenville Academy traditionally meet at Buckingham Parish Church on the last day of term for a carol concert. This year, we held it outside on our playground (due to current circumstances) and we had lots of children singing solos, duets and choral numbers. The children in Years 3, 4 and 5 all practised a section of the nativity during their drama lessons. Year 6 chose to do something a little different this year and worked on a choral recital of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." These short plays would traditionally be performed in between the carols but we have filmed them instead. You can watch them below.
