Our Values

At George Grenville Academy, we believe that every child should know that they belong, believe in themselves and have the confidence, curiosity and resilience to embrace the opportunities ahead of them. We nurture a community where every child is valued, included and encouraged to be themselves, knowing that they matter and that their voice is important. We inspire children to believe in their own abilities and potential, to approach new experiences with confidence and a positive attitude, and to remain determined when things feel difficult. We encourage curiosity through asking questions, exploring ideas, discovering the world around us and developing a lifelong love of learning. Through our nurturing relationships, we help children develop resilience: learning from setbacks, persevering through challenges and understanding that effort, reflection and a positive mindset help us to grow. We teach children to treat themselves and others with kindness, respect and empathy, celebrating difference and valuing the contribution that every individual makes to our school community. Above all, we empower our children to take responsibility for their choices and actions, to make positive decisions, to care for others and to understand the important part they play in shaping our school, our community and the wider world. These values are at the heart of who we are and shape not only what we teach, but the kind of people we hope our children will become.
